Honoured By His Own People

The highest civic honour that the county of Tipperary can bestow to one of its own was awarded to Labhrás Ó Murchú for a lifetime's work dedicated to the promotion and development of Irish culture in a ceremony that marked the first civic honour to be accorded to an individual by Tipperary County Council.
